Frequently Asked Questions

How do you read a poker odds chart?

Find your hand in one column and your opponent's hand in the other. The percentage shows how often each hand wins when all-in preflop. For example, AA vs KK shows 82% vs 18% — AA wins 82 out of 100 times on average.

Are these odds exact?

These are rounded to one decimal place based on exhaustive enumeration of all possible boards. The true values depend slightly on specific suit combinations but are accurate within ±0.5% for all practical purposes.

Do these odds change with more players?

These are heads-up (1v1) equities. With more players, individual equities drop because the pot is split more ways. For example, AA has 85% equity heads-up but only about 64% equity 4-way.
